ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Medina Valley Independent School District offers a well balanced curriculum from pre-kindergarten through grade five. Fundamental subjects such as mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, physical education, language arts and health are the basic elements of elementary education. Teachers and administrators are involved in ongoing revision and development of the curriculum to insure quality programs. The elementary program is dedicated to providing a solid foundation through an emphasis on basic skills instruction.

SECONDARY EDUCATION

Grades six through twelve emphasize the development of all basic fundamental skills learned at the elementary level. By providing opportunities for the application of basic skills in a variety of course offerings, the secondary school broadens the scope of instruction. Curriculum review and revision is ongoing at Medina Valley. Advance placement classes are being added yearly to enhance student learning. Administrators and teachers are continually seeking ways to improve all aspects of the secondary program.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Classes in a variety of interest areas are offered each spring for adults and students. In addition, college level courses and adult basic education classes are available when sufficient numbers of students express interest. The district strives to meet the educational needs of all patrons in the community
